Brody and Associates Beats the Odds and Defeats New York State Civil Rights Charge

Brody and Associates recently defeated a New York State Civil Rights charge where our client, a professional services provider, requested information from applicants regarding their age and family status.  Based on the facts, Claimant’s settlement demand was $150,000.00.  While the New York Division on Human Rights usually finds such inquiries a per se violation of state law, our client held firm and we obtained an outright dismissal.  On behalf of our client, we are very proud of this result. Now, after a full review of its employment practices, our client is in full compliance with New York and federal employment discrimination laws and continues to provide an outstanding work environment for its team.
