Legislative Update: Connecticut Becomes Fourth State with a Minimum Wage Exceeding $8.00

As of January 1st, Connecticut’s minimum wage went up to $8.25, joining three other states, plus the District of Columbia, with the country’s highest minimum wages.  Minimum wages in the other jurisdictions are as follows: District of Columbia: $8.25, Oregon: $8.40, Vermont: $8.06, Washington: $8.55.  Illinois’ minimum wage is set to increase to $8.25 later this year.
