Susan Westphal
Susan Westphal practiced law for almost fifteen years in New York City before moving to Connecticut. She has represented employers in employment disputes covering wage and hour claims, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and employment at will, both in court and before administrative agencies. Her skills as a trial lawyer include all aspects of pre-trial, trial, and appellate work. Susan also counsels on and prepares separation agreements, human resource policies, best practices, and employee handbooks. Additionally, Susan presents supervisory training on many topics including respect in the workplace.
Susan received her law degree from the National Law Center at George Washington University in 1989 and her B.A. from Tufts University in 1986 (cum laude). She is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut, and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Before joining Brody and Associates, her most recent legal employment was with Epstein, Becker & Green, P.C. in their New York City office.
